About Entertainment Council

Entertainment Council (EC) was established in 1979 as a unit of the Associated Students of the University of California, Davis (ASUCD). EC is responsible for booking and hosting concerts, open mic nights, movie screenings and other events on campus for the student body. As a completely student-run unit, the team is comprised of staff members and dozens of volunteers. We represent the university’s student voice for all things music & media, and strive to provide valuable content to our student community.

Silo Sessions

Silo Sessions is ASUCD EC's own take on NPR's Tiny Desk transforming the Silo into an intimate space for raw unfiltered performances.

Sunset Fest

Sunset Fest is EC's way of kicking off Fall Quarter with a free concert to welcome the new freshmen to campus. This year, we had Knock2 and Hojean perform to an adoring crowd of 8,000 UCD students!

Brain Freeze

Take a break from finals and chill out with us at our Winter Quarter concert. This year, Luna Li joined us in the Vanderhoef Studio in the Mondavi Center to give an intimate acoustic performance to students.

Lawntopia

Lawntopia is EC's way of celebrating Spring Quarter with our largest concert of the year, in the sunny weather! There are games, food, and giveaways that all lead up to the headlining performer! Previous headliners have been Duckwrth, Isaiah Rashad, and most recently Aminé in 2024. Stay tuned for the lineup for Spring 2025!
